We’re going to discuss one of the most iconic pants ever. Wide-leg pants. More specifically, trousers. If you’ve noticed on Pinterest there is a lot outfit inspiration and outfit of the day looks focusing on trousers. The first pair I bought were last year and I’ve been able to style them casually ever since. They are a staple piece and belong in your closet!

Why blend in when you can stand out? When looking in your closet for your next date night outfit go for the pants. You might be thinking “I thought I came here for cute outfit inspiration why are you telling me to wear trousers on a date?” I’m telling you this because it works!
Story time: Pete and I were heading down south for a Christmas party last year and I was struggling finding an outfit I was confident in. Dresses and skirts were not doing it for me and I just wanted to feel pretty. My SIL loaned me a beautiful bodysuit that is basically all lace and paired with black trousers it was a dang masterpiece! When we showed up every woman was in a dress, and here I was in an all black sophisticated yet sexy outfit. I received so many compliments that night. I knew from that night forward high wasted trousers were a new staple piece in the date night category.
2. Casual Everyday
The most comfortable pants is the right pair of high waisted wide-leg trousers. With this being said, they are perfect to run your errands in. Have you ever found yourself being 100% comfortable in your baggy sweatshirt, but know you’re not put together enough to brave the outside world? If yes, then your solution is Trousers.
I swear they change the entire appearance of an outfit and will give you a more put together look. Another way they can be styled is wearing a form fitting tee shirt or tank top. Casual everyday is my favorite way to wear trousers.

When you think business women or work attire it’s safe to assume trousers come to mind. Sure, dresses and skirts are nice, but sometimes they aren’t as practical as a pair of pants. We’ve seen generations of powerful women who were influential icons in the fashion industry rocking high waisted wide-leg trousers. Princess Diana, Katharine Hepburn, Blake Lively, Rihanna.. seriously I could go on forever.
These women carry themselves with confidence and know how to take basic trouser to the next level.
I used to think I couldn’t pull this style of pants off. I assumed I would look frumpy, lumpy, and boring. Well guess what? That was a lie I was telling myself, and if you’ve thought the same STOP! Stop it right now!
Trousers are the ultimate power pant and they look fabulous on all body types no matter the size!
